Last year I did a risograph of a beautiful image I had of the Thames at night seen from the top of Tate Modern. From the moment I worked on it I had wanted to do the same image as a screenprint.

I normally know from the start of working on a piece which medium I want to use, but for this one I genuinely couldn’t decide. I had prepared a separate design for both techniques, both playing to the strength of the medium, and the image was very appealing with both options so I decided to go for both!

From a technical point of view it was an interesting exercise in exploring how the medium influences the work, and the results both look good. I still can’t decide which I prefer!
