Every cloud. Limited edition of 25 screenprints on paper.

2022

A print that is intended as a message of hope in an increasingly bleak world.

Clouds are often associated with darkness descending, warnings of storm ahead, the disappearance of light but they can also be a force for positive change, the rain after a scorching summer.

.While still an exploration of light and CMYK printing, this print follows a slightly different approach than previous works like Above the world and Aphinar.

Instead of the light obliterating the image and dissolving the landscape into the sun, I decided to simply let the image do the talking. The image leans heavily towards magenta and yellow, creating a warmth that spreads across the sky, contrasting heavily against the darker, colder clouds with their cyan and black accents..

The result is a hopeful image: warmth prevails, the sun shines on, and every cloud has a silver lining…
